Check Out Reading Rockets

Looks like Ricki found a page turner.
 Reading Rockets http://www.readingrockets.org/audience/parents/ offers strategies, lessons,activities and ideas designed to help young children learn to read.
This site offers general guidelines to encourage reading  at home and in class as well as specific method to teach reading English from the start.

There are tabs for parents, teachers, librarians, principals, other professionals, and also in Spanish.
This is an enriched source for all things reading, valuable also for secondary teachers.
