Comicon Day 2: Costumes R Us

Thank you, Avengers for saving the earth, and supporting  the synthetic wig economy
Imagination runs rampant, to coin a phrase, at Comicon. Why not? It's really fun. Here are some of the fascinating folks I encountered today.

Chewbacca about to give me a hug.

Anime characters, one adjusting the other's head.

This is the Total Rekall Kar. We couldn't find Kitt.

Here's a mom and son in costumes I don't recognize, but they're cool anyway.

Lots of small children like the littlest Supergirl.

And this one to the right, always with the jokes.

Man, I hate it when that happens

The Zombie Walk isn't until Saturday, but they were still out and about anyway.
The one to the left is a teacher zombie: no wonder CST test scores were flat.
The one to the right was in front of the Convention Center trying to catch the San Diego Transit to Escondido.

I was very excited to have an autographed and illustrated Mad Art of Caricature! book by Tom Richmond, one of the artists for Mad Magazine, an art form that helped me survive my teenage years and beyond with a humorous bent. He drew Alfred E. Newman on the title page! How cool is that?

Maybe Darwin was right.
